Coregasm

Question:
Is it true that you can have an orgasm doing sit ups?

Answer:
This post was prompted after reading an article in Women's Health Magazine. Have you ever been at the gym minding your own business doing sit ups and the next thing you know you've cum? Well for some women this happens. Maybe this is why that lady was smiling at the gym.

No way... How?
Remember when we talked about Kegels? The exercise induced pleasure may be due to the tightening of the same pelvic muscles. Kegels are exercises for the pelvic floor muscles(PFMs). These are the muscles that rhythmically contract during orgasm. Think about it if you are doing several reps and rhythmically contracting the same muscles then it is quite possible that you may indeed have an orgasm mid Pilates class.

Try these out
- Lying on your back lift both legs up together 6 inches off the floor and hold for a few seconds, repeat.
- Hang from a pull up bar and bend your knees up to your chest, repeat.
- Take a Pilates class at the gym you never know what will happen.

If you suddenly have the urge to work out and have some coregasms you aren't the only one. Unfortunately there is no gaurantee that this will work for everyone, but if it does... more power to you and let me be the first to congratulate you on your future six pack abs!

ENJOY!

To shave or not to shave....

Question:
Should I trim it up down there?

Answer:
The fine art of trimming or shaving pubic hair is gaining in popularity for women and men. Women are looking for the bald eagle and some men seem to think that if you trim the bushes, it makes the tree look bigger. While deciding whether or not to shave one’s nether region is seemingly simple (‘yes’ or ‘no’), the actual task is slightly more difficult – with potentially irritating and (in some cases) painful consequences.... think Lorena Bobbit. With shaving there is always the potential risk of cutting the skin. It is also possible that the area may become uncomfortable and itchy (from “razor burn” and/or ingrown hairs). Remember that this is a delicate area and it may take a while for your body to get accustomed to irritations associated with shaving.

For those who ultimately decide in favor of shaving, there are a couple of options available. If you desire a simple trim, then you can get it with just a pair scissors or an electric shaver. If however, you want the area completely bare (bald eagle), then shaving or waxing (Brazilian) will be your best option.

Follow these steps for the best method for removing pubic hair in an effective, safe and easy way.

Trim: Use either scissors or a trimmer to cut down your pubic hair as short as possible. The shorter the hair the easier the shave will be. Shaving long hair will dull and clog the razor.

Shower: Take a nice hot bath or shower. Soaking in the warm water will soften up both your skin and hair. You can also gently exfoliate the area with a loofah.

Lather: Apply shaving cream/lotion/gel generously to the area to be shaved.
(Note: There are special shaving creams/lotions/ gels for your pubic area, such as Sensa-Shave or Bikini Zone. Try not to use heavy scented or perfumed gels. This will irritate the skin.)

Shave: With one hand pull the skin tight; with the other hand slowly shave in the direction of the hair growth. Pubic hair is coarse and will dull the blade after one shave. Make sure to use a new blade every time. Make sure to clean the blade after each stroke. If you need to go back over an area remember to first lather the area again.

Post-Shave: Once you have all the areas shaved, rinse with cool water. Pat the area dry with a clean towel. Apply an unscented moisturizer or aloe to the area to help sooth the freshly shaved skin and to avoid “razor bumps.” There are different types of creams or after shave for these particular areas such as coochy cream from Pure Romance, Passion Parties offers a unisex shave and after shave kit and even Gilette has a kit available.

Potential Problems: Keep an eye out for signs of infection post shaving. Prolonged localized redness, swelling, bumps or sores that appear infected are indications that you should follow up with a healthcare professional.

Dental Dam Show and Tell

Recently I have had a lot of people ask me... What is a dental dam? Where can you get them? Hopefully this will answer some of your burning questions.

What is a dental dam?
A dental dam is a thin piece of latex that you place over a vulva (woman's external genitalia) or an anus to protect against Sexually transmitted infections when performing oral sex. STI's that you can get from oral sex are herpes, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, syphilis and HIV.

Where do I get one?
Dental dams can be difficult to find but they are available at drug stores and sex shops. You can also order them online. Glyde dental dams are one brand and so is Lixx. If you are looking for a non latex option, Hot Dam is for you. I would suggest going with either plain or flavored. You can also make a dental dam out of a condom or by using non-microwavable plastic wrap (do not use microwavable because there are small holes in it so that heat can escape in the microwave). If you are making a dental dam out of a condom use a plain or flavored kind (lube does not taste good). I have made a handy dandy video for you to watch if you are feel crafty.

ENJOY!

And now for your viewing enjoyment....How to make a dental dam out of a condom!

Is it low tide?

Question:
How Can I Make It Smell Better Down There ? I Have Never Heard Anyone Say It Smells But I Don't Wanna Take Any Chances.

Answer:
The smell and taste of the nether regions varies from woman to woman. It is sometimes described as a musty or musky but a vagina quite frankly smells like a vagina. Clearly it isn't supposed to smell like flowers or strawberries.

Let's start with the obvious.... Are you showering or bathing regularly? If the answer is no then stop reading we've located the problem.

Infections
Some infections in the vaginal area, such as bacterial vaginosis can give your down under a fishy smell. If you find yourself asking "Is it low tide?" and you haven't recently been fishing, then I would suggest following up with a heath care provider.

Sweat and Urine oh my...
If you suffer from swamp ass or in this case swamp vulva it may be the culprit. Think about how your pits smell after sweating. If you notice that you are sweating you can rinse off or try using a baby wipe. (there are specific feminine hygiene wipes as well).

If your urine usually has a strong odor it may be causing a little funk down there as well. Remember the urethra lives pretty close to the vagina. Have you ever lived in an apartment building when your neighbors cook really smelly foods?? Well sometimes your urethra can be the smelly neighbor.

DON'T DOUCHE
No matter how bad you think that you smell do not douche. Douching is very bad for the vagina; it can lead to infections because it kills off the good bacteria. The vagina is a delicate eco system, you don't want to kill everything.

Everyone has a unique scent if you are really concerned or you start to notice a really strong odor, I would suggest seeing a health care provider about it.

Fabulously Curious

Question:
I'm a gay man who has found myself becoming increasingly curious about a girl over the past six months. My girl friend and I flirt. We regularly discuss making out and find erotic ways to be close to making out but don't actually make out. In general, I don't find girls attractive and have never been with a woman. However, I am intrigued and she is intrigued with me. I'm confused as to what to do? Do I experiment? Or do I need to walk away and find a guy to keep me company?

Answer:
Katy Perry, the lyrical genius that she is, may be able to help you out with this...
It’s not what, I’m used to
Just wanna try you on
I’m curious for you
Caught my attention
I kissed a girl and I liked it

Don't pigeon hole yourself
Just because you identify as a gay man doesn't mean you are bound to the laws of gaydom. Who says that you aren't able to experiment and kiss whoever you want. What's the worst thing that would happen if you kissed a girl? Would the gay police come and take away your gay license?

Friends with benefits?
This is a sticky situation since you are friends with this girl. If you guys did kiss would it be weird? Would it ruin the friendship? Is this something that you and/or she wants just because it would normally feel off limits for you and you are feeling risky? I know that I am asking you a lot of questions but you need to consider some things. If you and she don't care and you want to give it a whirl then yeah go for it, why not? if you want to kiss your friend, kiss your friend - Just make sure you do what YOU want to do.

Sperm Genocide

Question:
What exactly is spermicide? and how it is it used?

Answer:
Spermicide is a birth control method that inhibits sperm mobility. Think of it like running on a treadmill vs. running in sand. Have you ever tried running in sand? It is a lot harder to move in the sand. Just like it is a lot harder for sperm to move around. This will keep the sperm from meeting the egg and therefore preventing pregnancy.

Spermicide offerers NO protection against STIs or HIV. According to planned parenthood, if women always use spermicide as directed, 15 out of 100 will become pregnant each year. If women don't always use spermicide as directed, 29 out of 100 will become pregnant each year. What does that mean? Well, it is more effective than using nothing at all but there are other forms of birth control that are more effective.

Ohhhh options:
Spermicides come in a bunch of different varieties: cream, foam, gel and suppositories (little capsules you insert into the vagina). You can use spermicide by itself but it is usually used with another form of birth control such as cervical caps or diaphragms. Spermicides are relatively safe but the chemicals can cause irritation to the vagina and/or penis. If irritation occurs you can try switching up brands... if irritation still occurs spermicide may not be the birth control method for you.

How do I use it?
Each type of spermicide is used a little bit different. Make sure you take the time to read the instructions for the product that you are choosing. If you don't use the product as directed it will be less effective. In general, most spermicides are inserted with a finger or an applicator, like a tampon. For most types of spermicide you need to wait ten minutes to have sex after you insert the foam, cream etc... Most methods will only last for an hour after you insert them, so if you are feeling frisky and looking for a few more rounds, you will need to reinsert.

Good Vibrations... Sweet Sensations

Questions:
If I use a vibrator too much, can it desensitize me? I'm worried it will ruin sensations.

Answer:
If Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch taught us anything it's that good vibrations bring about good sensations. Sex toys can be dated back to 500 BC and for good reason... because that are freaking awesome!

Vibrator Habituation
You will not loose sensations if you use a vibrator; it is a myth. You can however experience vibrator habituation - you become used to the sensations and that particular type of stimulation. There is no need to break up with your vibrator but perhaps you should see other people. All you need to do is switch it up a bit. Try using a different toy or manual stimulation (fingers) instead of something battery operated.

**Remember that partner sex orgasms and vibrator orgasms are two are separate things. If you are unable to orgasm with the partner don't worry most women can't orgasm with just penetrative sex, clitoral stimulation is usually needed.

ENJOY and get creative!

Bleeding during sex

Question:
When I have sex I bleed a little bit. Lately when I am having sex when we are done there is blood on the condom. Is there something wrong with me?

Answer:
Let's not jump to conclusions. There are many reasons why you might be bleeding during or after sex and not all require medical attention.

Vaginal Tears
Your body as part of the sexual response cycle creates it's own lubricants. During arousal the vaginal walls secrete fluids to lubricate the vagina decrease friction during penetration. Some women create enough lubricant and some women don't. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. If you think that you are a little dry, try using lube. The bleeding may be caused by vaginal tears (micro tears) to the vaginal walls or the vulva. Remember: If it hurts...STOP! Sex isn't supposed to be painful (unless you like pain). These tears usually will heal in about 3 days as long as you avoid any further irritation such as penetration by penis, finger, and/or toys. Avoid using tampons if it is that time of the month.

STI's
Some STI's can have symptoms of bleeding, Chlamydia in particular. If there is any chance that you may have an STI, consult with a heath care provider for testing and possible treatment. Remember you don't have to have penis/vagina sex to contract an STI.

Polyps or Fibroids
Polyps and fibroids can grow in and around the uterus and/or cervix. They are little growths sometimes resembling a fig. You can't tell if you have polyps or fibroids yourself, you need to see a health care provider to diagnose you.

You may be experiencing one, all or none of these but if you are experiencing pain as well as bleeding always consult your doctor/gynecologist to get checked out. There are a number of other reasons that you may be experiencing vaginal bleeding as well so it is best to consult a healthcare provider.
